Remember you're playing Prominence Poker through a third-party platform, so be sure you also follow the advice provided directly by your platform's support team:
Generic connection troubleshooting
Restart your PC/Console
- Try closing all open applications and restarting your PC/console. Sometimes, a fresh start is all you need!
Restart your modem/router
- Turn off and unplug your modem/router to initiate a power cycle. You'll need to leave at least 30 seconds before you plug them back in
Improve your network connection
- If you're using wi-fi, try switching to an ethernet cable (AKA a hard connection). Hard connections provide you with the highest reliability and speed your internet has to offer
- If that's not possible, close other programs that access the internet (such as other games, streaming music, videos, or anything that is using the internet to download or upload) to improve the wireless connection
Check your modem/router's firewall settings
- Sometimes, your modem/router's firewall settings may cause connection issues.
- You'll need to review any support material provided on your internet service provider OR get in contact with their support team for more guidance.
Contact your internet service provider
- It's possible the issue is caused by an issue with your internet provider's service. Get in touch with your provider's support team to get clued in on any known issues.
